going back home
Well, our flight back to Athens leaves in a few hours. We had a good time. My sister and I annoyed each other a lot, but i suppose that's pretty natural, if not inevitable.
Yesterday we went to the mountains in Winter Park via train and (barely) did some tubing. I only did three runs because the weather up there was pretty harsh. The wind was super fierce, making it VERY cold, and blowing snow around in your face. (And it was snowing anyway.) After my last run, I couldn't see, even though I had my sister's ski googles on. It was fun though. On the ride back, the train "conductor" said that it was the worst weather he'd ever seen there. It's a good thing we took the train, because they ended up having to close the roads down, and we might have gotten stranded in the mountains.
The pictures from yesterday aren't offloaded from the memory stick yet but here are some other ones from our trip:

We really liked this tree.

Holly and Colleen (my sister) ice skating.

Dinosaurs at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

Me singing The Who's "You Better You Bet" at Extreme Karaoke at the Hi-Dive. (Holly sang "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey.)

Our very funny Extreme Karaoke host, in costume, singing Neil Diamond's "America."

Men's room at the Hi-Dive. I guess tagging is the hip, in-thing to do in Denver.

We really liked this bumper sticker. Also at the Hi-Dive.

Me in front of Sputnik, the sister bar to the Hi-Dive. It's also a restaurant with excellent and cheap food. We ate there before the Extreme Karaoke.

Tiger at the Denver zoo. Holly and Colleen saw her pee in the snow.

The first time I've seen a zoo polar bear in appropriate weather.

Some bison.

I know it's their "natural habitat", climate wise, but they looked cold!

They posed for us.

At the Coors brewery.

Good stuff.

Outside at Coors.
