follow up
...to last weeks "I haven't seen a dime" comment about my freelance telephonic interpreting. I did get paid a day or two later for my first month. All is good. Anyone in or around Athens, GA who knows a good CPA/Accountant (honest, inexpensive, competent), please recommend him or her to me, because I need to take care of income taxes for myself...

Absolutely -- Harold Williams' office is located on Milledge Ave., and I think the office is called something like "Williams and Guined". He did some work for me when I had a much more complicated situation a couple of years ago, and was very thorough, quick, friendly, and fair. (He didn't charge me for every single thing that he did, since --as he said-- "it was easy"). He was recommended to me by a friend who held down several jobs throughout the year and had to pay his own FICA/SS stuff as self-employed. He had used Harold for like 15 years and had never had a problem.
(Plus, Harold was in the Marshall Tucker Band. Little trivia for ya.)
